Cheers. When are you booking your medicals for?

I booked them for next Wednesday. Hopefully, they'll be finalized by the time a CO picks up my app.

It should be OK not to book the Medicals before a CO is allocated, as you seem to have uploaded the PCC's, so keep something missing and the CO will contact you when he/she picks up your app.

As someone mentioned in another thread: if the CO has all the information they need (front-loading everything), they may not contact you and directly go to a grant which may take longer to know that it's happening :)

For my husbands skills assessment he didn't have to send a copy of his degree as he is a nz nurse and they must be able to check the records. They required proof of nursing registration in nz, a reference from employer. I think the degree should be ok as it says on the "message" part that an academic transcript is whats required, and thats actually what we have so all good i hope. the birth cert is a full one. PC from UK arrived today. They put a photo on it these days!!!

Does everyone have to a medical with chest x-ray and hiv (no chest x-ray & hiv for kids I know)? Or do they sometimes only ask for certain parts for the medicals? I would go for mine now but its quite pricey for the 4 of us and don't want to do them if its not necessary.

Cottesloe looks nice on the pics I just looked at. We're thinking of heading a few hours south of Perth on the coast for the first few months, then over the following 21months heading north along the coast as far as the Kimberleys.

Pradiprn are you sure you don't have a CO?

Yes the status hasn't changed to applications being processed further. That's when you know you have a CO. I guess it will take a couple of weeks more.

I've just uploaded my police certs, it now says that maximum attachment limit has been reached! Is this normal? I think we have 61 attachments (for a family of 4) including 30 payslips! Do you have to attach the medical stuff yourself or does that get sent straight to Aus from your Dr?

Interesting, that it can only take 61 attachments. I combined all related documents in one pdf :)

Medicals will be directly sent by your doc to OHS, Australia.

for those of you that have done your medicals, which forms did you use? i tried to access the forms through logging into my status page but it comes up "pdf file not found." is it ok to use form 26 and form 160 rather than forms EH26 & EH160? i think i'll join some of the rest of you and front load too :o)

I too am getting the same error "PDF file not found", probably the system didn't fully recover from yesterday's maintenance, luckily I downloaded a copy when I lodged the application.

For which forms to use:

EDIT: These seem to be like some instructions for Panel Doctors: http://www.immi.gov.au/gateways/panel_doctors/conducting_medicals/health_forms/

If you are going to a clinic that has e health then you don't need the forms as you will fill it up online at the clinic.

I'm still not able to access them again, maybe tomorrow being a working day they'll sort it out! If not it seems like it should be ok to use the non EH forms based on that link. I have a funny feeling they won't have e health where I live, its a bit behind the times!

You should be able to confirm that on the DIAC website. They indicate which clinics use ehealth. If you are lucky your clinic just might have ehealth!

If you don't go through an eHealth clinic, it will longer to gets Meds finalized.

There are no eHealth clinics in my country so a good thing we are planning to book them in soon I guess. They won't take long to get to Aus from here though, its quicker than sending things to the north island sometimes!

We have a case officer!!! Everything on the checklist says met except my medical forms which is fine as I know that will be due to the medical report from my specialist. It's been sent but may not have been reviewed yet. No email from the CO yet so fingers crossed no request for the dreaded 80.

Congratulations! Form 80 isn't that dreadful is it? Anyways hope to hear good news soon!

Form 80 is ridiculously detailed and takes a while to fill it up. It has some overlap with Form 1221. Better get it ready and front-load it or wait for the CO to ask for it.
