Guest wadeandlou
Hi Everyone, My girlfriend Lou and I are both relocating to Melbourne, both 29, sociable and fun loving people, I'd be in to sport, cycling and travelling... Lou in to shopping and socialising!! I am going first at the end of April and Lou is going to follow me out in 3 months ... We are going to get an apartment together but in the mean time I would be looking to rent somewhere short term for the first 3 months so I can involve Lou in the hunt. I don’t mind sharing a place etc but other than gumtree I don’t really know the best way to find a pad for 3 months??? – Any suggestion? Also I am a homeowner in the UK so I don’t really have any rental references... Is there anything else I should bring that will help me when I initially look for a ST place and also when I finally take on an apartment when Lou arrives? Is it also advisable to both have reference when we look to rent a LT apartment? I will be working in St Kilda and would like to live in an area where I am not too close to the office say 20min cycle and there are restaurants and bar and bit a buzz around the place – any suggestions would be a MASSIVE help!
