I'm currently studying a degree in Early childhood studies (1 year left) I've had 4 years experience working with children 0-8 years as part of my childcare courses within different settings such as primary schools/special needs schools and daycare centres. I also worked at a girls scout camp in the US last summer and in a daycare centre in France the year before. Once I've finished I was hoping to go to Oz on a 457 visa to work in an early years setting so this would have been the perfect opportunity! Im trying to get in myself, i am fully qualified childcare worker, who holds management qualifications, i also a fully qualified assessor and internal verifer who deliver's diploma in cypw, specialist teaching assitants and playwork courses up to level 4. I have worked in the training industry for many years, i can't get in on my qualifications as they are not on the list. I can be a childcare centre manager, but not doing the job at present, have done in the past, was thinking about going back into childcare and see if i can get a visa granted that way. I have also worked with children from 0-8 years for 16 years since work experience at school. I hold a BTEC National in Childhood studies and a BEd in Art. I am wondering if you are still looking for teachers and if you have any more information to help out someone moving with a small child of 2 years at the early stages of the process. We are looking to move to Oz and been looking for job opertunities before deciding which part of Oz we move to. My wife has been teaching for 5 years in a primary school and is a manager. hpwbri001 Posted June 5, 2012 Share Posted June 5, 2012 Hi Mrs Mac, I live in the UK with my hubby who is an electrician and we are both working really hard towards moving over to Aus. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a specialisation in Foundation Phase (ages 5-9) which I obtained in South Africa in 2009. I worked in South Africa for 2 years at the same school as the Grade 1 teacher (ages 6-7) and I am currently working in London doing daily supply work and getting loads more teaching experience. I would love the opportunity to come to Aus and teach which is my passion and I will make a fantastic Early Years teacher:) Hope to hear from you soon!
