Total $1435-1720 per month not including mortgage/rent or Medical Insurance Not sure what area your thinking of but if your talking sydney then your a bit off with the rent, our 2 bed modest bungalow with garage and garden in northern beaches is $495 pw and thats a bargain. Mobile phone you can spend $29 vodaphone cap and get $150 worth of calls/texts (plenty). satt tv -wouldnt bother..its all gash. ..elect -$100 per quarter, NO council tax if your renting, car insurance fully comp on a 3 door 1.8 hatchback with 65%no claims $55 per month, private health/dentist insurance $73 per month, all the others are about right id say. reckon youd need to be bringing home min $5000 -6000 per month to live in Sydney as a family of 4. The Broughtons
Hi Mr Imp, After having a chat with our rental agent she gave us the following information: In Victoria you don't pay council rates if you are renting. Water - If the property is a unit with several on the block you won't always be responsible for paying the water rates if it is a rental property. It all depends on whether the owner had individual water meters put in. If they didn't, you are not necessarily going to be charged water rates. We have an individual water meter so we copped the charges! We have a 3 bed unit, beach side in Mornington and pay $320 a month rent. I have a lady that comes to my home (as she left the hairdressers now), at the hairdressers cut n highlights was £75.00 at my own home it is £55.00, still alot of money - should have been a hairdresser LOL :biglaugh: I suppose if wages are lower in Oz than here then it works our more expensive then to have your hair cut in Oz (although obviously the hairdressers earn well in Oz!).

Guest asylon
EBay here is in it's infancy and there is a thing called Dolla which is like ebay but has about 6 things on it...total. But there are only 2 million or so people and the postage makes it too pricey to have something sent from the other side of the country They wanted $25 to post something small and light from Canberra up to me. So I didn't get it. Have a look at Aussie ebay I still buy stuff from UK ebay.
