SIMONBRUNA
what are the best shops to buy sheets? vacuum cleaner? furniture? not cheap ones like from kmart(nothing wrong with kmart, we actually have stuff from there) but just looking for something nicer at the mo xxx cheers
RockDr
Places like harris scarfe, harvey norman, and Myers will have a range of sheets and household items. Harris scarfe has regular sales, the others have occasional sales, which brings the price down to something a bit less gobsmacking... We got our vaccuum cleaner from Godfreys, they have the full range from cheap to "you will not believe how much crap just came out of your carpet". Furniture we've mainly used Ikea, harvey norman and le cornu, but there are more expensive places around, where do you live? there's probably a furniture store strip around somewhere... Loopylu
what are the best shops to buy sheets? vacuum cleaner? furniture? not cheap ones like from kmart(nothing wrong with kmart, we actually have stuff from there) but just looking for something nicer at the mo xxx cheers Hi If you are in the Brisbane area then there are various Homemaker City areas where you get all the household stores together. There is one in Aspley (just off Gympie Road), another near Bunnings in Carseldine and if you are on the southside there are a lot around near the Ikea at Logan. Inner city there is a good grouping of household stores in Windsor on Lutwyche Road. Right in the centre you have a whole host of furniture stores in The Valley but you could spend a small fortune there! As far as electricals go, I can definitely recommend Godfreys for vacuums and why not try the Good Guys for fridges etc? If you use the Good Guys you can be cheeky and ask for a discount if you are not using finance and they'll usually knock abit off the price. For bedding, you could try Pillowtalk. We have had some good quality bargains from there. Hope this helps.

We have had discount from them even when paying with a credit card, you don't even really have to ask for it.
