Guest tholcroft
My wife was granted a Health Waiver and she is now with me in Sydney. Under our health undertaking, we have 2 more weeks to call a number. Anyone know what will happen when we do. The wife is worried! Just to fill in the background. I am a POM resident in Sydney for 19 years and an Oz citizen for most of that. My wife is from Manila and had problems with being diagnosed as having mild to moderate cognitive disorder during her medical. After finding out that 'mild to moderate cognitive disorder' was an early form of Alzhiemers we laughed and considered this to be crazy. We applied for a health waiver and got it in 7 months. We arrived in Sydney on the temporary spouse visa on 15th Janyary 2012. I can see a lot of information on applying for health waivers but nothing much on what happens after they are granted. Specific Questions are: Will she need to go through the whole medical again? Or just an examination for the specific condition? We live between the city and Paramatta. If we get to choose between the Medibank facilities in Parramatta vs. the City, which should we choose?
Guest tholcroft
Today we called the Health Undertaking Service 1800 number as required and it was easy enough. They just wanted our arrival date in Sydney, our phone numbers and email address. We should notify them if we change address or go away on a trip and they will send us a letter within the next 2 weeks about an appointment location. Sounds like we have up to 6 months to fulfill the appoinment. Cheers Tim H
