WA SS Validity??????

Recommended Posts

Friends,

What is the validity of WA SS once it is issued successfully? In other words, when does WA SS get expire once it is issued?

I checked different forums. Someone said it is 3 months. Others say it is 2 years?

Australian SS validity changes with the time. For example, the validity of SA (South Australia) SS was 30 days but is changed now to 60 days (Confirmed).

I could not find confirmed and updated WA SS validity information.

Please assist.

Thanks DONO for such a quick response :)

Will this validity be mentioned in WA SS confirmation e-mail?

"We confirm State sponsorship has been agreed on your skilled visa application based on the agreement

attached. Skilled Migration Western Australia's (SMWA) offer of State sponsorship is valid for three (3) months

from the date of this email.

You will need to apply to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) for your visa within the three

months sponsorship offer validity period. After you have lodged your application with DIAC and received either

your Transaction Reference Number (TRN) or case file number, please sign the attached State Sponsorship

Agreement and return it to us. We require either of these numbers to confirm State sponsorship on your behalf

with DIAC. SMWA will then confirm state sponsorship directly with DIAC.

If you do not return the State Sponsorship agreement (complete with signature and DIAC reference number)

during the 3 month validity period, your offer of sponsorship will no longer be valid. If you still require State

Sponsorship after this time you will need to reapply and be reassessed."

It means that we have to revert back to WA once 176 application is lodged?

How did you send the SS Agreement back to WA SS containing Transaction Reference Number (TRN) or case file number???

Did you just colored scanned the document and sent by e-mail or you sent the original by post/courier?

When you lodge your application to DIAC you will receive the TRN. You print out State Sponsorship agreement - sign it, put in TRN number and email it back to WA.

WA then forwards Form 1100 direct to DIAC confirming your sponsorship. We also uploaded the sponsorship agreement with the other documents after we lodged application to DIAC
