Guest laugh1ngc0w
[h=2]Help i turn 31 before my 2nd year WH Visa Extension!!![/h] Hey there guys Have no posted for a while but me and the hubby have decided to go to Australia on a working holiday visa as it would be the easiest option to get there quick and easy. We have decided to go july this year and are applying for the visa next month as i turn 31 this year and i know you have to apply for it before your 31st birthday. Now this is where the dilemma comes in, we are wanting to apply for a second year visa extension while we are out there (which we know you have to do the whole working for 3 months to qualify for it) but i will be 32 so i know im over the age limit but my husband will be 30 when getting the extension. Now how will that leave us will we both have to come home or can we stay but i go on his visa without the ability of working??? Help im in a real pickle guys, EEEKKKSSS!!! Thanks Denisexxx
PositivePixie
You would have to go on a holiday visitor visa, although there may be issues with that as your husband has a working visa and they may think you may be a risk for breaking the conditions of your visa, but I guess you can only risk it for a biscuit. If you had sufficient funds to convince immigration you didn't intend to work at all, if you were pulled over, then that would be very helpful. I don't believe you can put a partner on a WHV, its a no dependant children visa, but I can't find anything about spouses. It looks like you would need to leave Oz to be granted the tourist visa (http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/417/how-the-visa-works.htm) http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/976/ http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/676/ HTH a bit. Guest laugh1ngc0w
Hi there, its sounds like there may be a little light then at the end o0f the tunnel, my husbands dad lives over in oz and has citizanship, so we would be staying with him for a wee while, then going off to travel, once we sell our house and possesions we will have some money in the bank, hopefully. Would that make it a lot easier then??? Thanks for replying Denise
