caz2048
Hi Just need anyones help, stories or feed back as i have done part of my regional work to apply for my 2nd year visa, but it was abit of a nightmare. The work finished and i ended up running out of money to be able to start again straght after i am now working to save again but i am worried i will run out of time before my visa end. Does anyone know if there is anyway around this??
Guest The Pom Queen
Britchix and Pommypaul would be great people to ask. Have you done any WWOOF work as you usually get board and lodgings free. I will move your post in to the WHV and Backpacker section

BritChickx
Sorry to hear you're in a bit of trouble! I would have suggested wwoofing too...but not sure what you could do with leasing a house, what area are you in?

LisaIan
Sadly, unless you have done your 88 days specified work there is no other way to obtain a 2nd year visa. I can't imagine any dispensation will be given as you have a whole year to achieve it. It's also worth mentioning that not all wwoofing counts toward the 2nd visa, the hosts need to be primary producers or offer work which is part of the 'specified work' list on the DIAC website. I hope you manage to sort something out, I know how hard it can be. Good luck
