Free Aussie TV

We recently moved from Australia to Surrey, UK and brought our Aussie flat screen TV with us thinking it would work here. But, sadly, we aren't able to change the country code and get it to work.

So I am looking for someone here in the Surrey area that is planning to move to Australia and would like a free TV to put in their container. It's 2 years old and around 32" (if I remember correctly). We used it in our guest room.

All you need to do is come by and pick it up. TVs are very expensive in Australia (we paid around $800 for it).

 

I'm just hoping to save it from going to the dump.

Just get yourself a freeview box and it should work fine:smile:

Yup. If you buy a Freeview box (or subscribe to Sky) and plug that into your TV, all will be well.

Thanks for the advice! Obviously I haven't done my homework on this issue. I've never even heard of freeview (we aren't big TV watchers).

Anyway, I will give it a go and see if it works. If not, I did receive a message from someone who might be able to use it.

So, either way, it won't end up in the tip!

Hi Jerry, Surrey is my old area.

 

Shout if your stuck I have a network of good people that can help you with almost anything.

 

Ps scan.co.uk and buy the twin tuner PVR is all you will need.
