I am a Project Manager in the Software Industry currently having around 11 years experience. When I checked the SOL, I could not find a skill that corresponds to IT Project Management. The only skills that relate to a software profession that i could find in the SOL are: - ICT business analyst - Systems analyst - Analyst programmer - Developer programmer - Software engineer - Software Tester - Software and Applications Programmers nec - Database Administrator - ICT Security Specialist - Systems Administrator - Computer Network and Systems Engineer - Network Administrator - Network Analyst - ICT Systems Test Engineer Can someone advice me on the skill I can select while applying for an Independent migrant visa? You might consider taking advice about what you might be able to do with: 135112 ICT PROJECT MANAGER Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates quality accredited ICT projects. Accountable for day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritisation and task coordination, and meeting project milestones, objectives and deliverables within agreed time frames and budgets. In addition I am PMP (Project Management Professional) certified. As per my understanding, Code 135112 ICT Poject Manager is not available in SOL 1,2, or 3. Can you please suggest my options? Thanks, gts 'ICT business analyst' would be the best and probably only option for you here. Your occupation needs to be listed on the SOL for you to be able to lodge an independent skilled visa. State migration plans could another route, but I do not recall any SMPs with the occupation 'ICT project manager'.... The other option would be to find an employer willing to sponsor you here.
