Check out Singapore Air, they used to allow extra baggage (40 kg all together), plus the price is pretty good. I bought a one way ticket recently for 600 euros. 3. Check http://www.gumtree.com.au/, http://www.carsales.com.au/, http://www.drive.com.au/ By the way, are you sure you want a loan for a start? We bought an old wagon for 1100 AUD and it worked almost five years like a charm; still would, but we left Australia... Check also this article about a car insurance: http://www.news.com.au/money/money-matters/how-to-save-on-car-insurance/story-e6frfmd9-1226194362122 4. Do you need to ship all these things? Considering you're not shipping a lot of things, you could actually buy them cheaper down under... 5. http://www.realestate.com.au/rent My friend just rented a house in Mandurah, 5 minutes away from the beach, for $230 per week; it's a 2- or 3-bedrooom house. And the beach house she was also looking at was $270 per week. Hope it helps, good luck!!
