ASPC Processing Times

Hi all

I'm not involved in a skilled migrant application myself, but this may interest other members of PomsInOz.

I read on another forum that anyone whose application is being handled by the ASPC can now send a blank e-mail to the following e-mail address:

aspc@immi.gov.au

Literally, a blank e-mail. No subject heading, no message. You just lob it off and within an hour or two you get an automatic reply, listing all the visa types handled by the ASPC, and the current timeline for each type. The list will updated every Tuesday, I gather.

I tried it. It works.

Unfortunately, the POPC (which handles Parents, which is where I am involved) doesn't offer this as yet, but I'm living in hope that they will someday soon....

This special, new e-mail address ONLY gets you the list.

For all other enquiries to the ASPC, you have to use their normal e-mail address and provide all the information they need. The timeline address only reaches a robot, not a human bean.

Give it a go, I suggest :)
