Cal2
Hi, what did your school give you to take across to Oz, as a transitional pack as such? Is there anything you will or would have asked for if you'd had known? thanks Cal
Guest
Quick question, what age are your children (or child).

ali
We took childrens reports and my sons teacher (he was year 2) made a little booklet with the curriculum for that year and where he was up to with a couple of examples of his work but this wasn't expected. They do want a copy of your childs immunisations
Quoll
They really dont care. Just rock up with passport showing visa status and evidence of date of birth, evidence of your place of residence and their vaccination record and that's all they will bother about. They may pay polite lip service if you come armed to the teeth with documentation but it will be largely ignored once you have left the room. However, if you have a child with a disability then bring evidence of diagnosis and every assessment report and IEP written on the child for their entire school career. northernbird
I agree with Quoll, they probably won't be all that interested if your children don't have any educational issues to contend with. They will spend the first couple of weeks assessing your children and how they fit in with the work here.
Guest Beth101
Our school asked for latest school reports and some examples of work, however there are always new people arriving in Australia so schools are used to children arriving who have been following different curriculums etc, they'll soon slot them into the correct groups at school.
