2011 Top 10 Hotels in Australia

Melbourne's Langham Hotel took out the top spot in the best Australian city hotels category for the third year in a row.

The Park Hyatt Hotel in East Melbourne moved up the rankings to number 2 this year, up from number 4 last year.

Sydney's Intercontinental Hotel soared up the list to take out number 3, barely scraping into the selection last year at number 10. The hotel's Australia Suite starts at $6500 a night.

Sydney's Park Hyatt, which looks out over the Opera House, was voted at number 4, up one spot from last year.

The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney came in at number 6 (number 5 was the Sofitel Queenstown Hotel and Spa in New Zealand) - it did not make last year's list. Pictured is the presidential suite, which costs from $5925 to $6350 a night.

The Sydney Harbour Marriott at Circular Quay was number 7, up two places from last year.

The Westin Sydney came in at number 8. The presidential suite costs $4000 a night.

The Westin Melbourne Hotel was another property that didn't make the cut last year. This year it made number 10 (number 9 was the George hotel in Christchurch, New Zealand).

The 4 seasons looks stunning, but then at $6000 per night it should:swoon:
