Guest The Pom Queen
Hi and welcome to the forum, I have moved your post in to the backpackers/WHV forum as this is where a lot of the members in your situation hang out. Have a word with Anubis he is travelling alone and loves it.
lauradarlin
I'm just back from 6 weeks travelling the east coast on my own. i was really nervous too but you'll have an awesome time. Make an effort to socialise in the communal areas of hostels and don't stay in private rooms! I met loads of people through organised trips (Whitsundays, Fraser Island, Cape Tribulation etc), it's a really friendly scene. There are always people around to talk to, especially Germans - my 13 year old GCSE came in really handy! Get stuck into the goon and you'll be grand! BritChickx
Hi, don't worry about being on your own if you mix in with everyone you're bound to make some friends. Easier said than done as if I was on my own still i'd have been crapping myself about even getting to know randoms on the other side of the world! But it'll pay off. We're on the Sunny coast an hour from brisbane and it's great here. Good luck with the job hunt, maybe you could post a thread of your travels?
