Guest Degdog Posted October 3, 2011 Hi everyone! My family an I are moving to Oz in January and are really looking forward to it!! We have most things in hand, Dale of house container and flights booked!! The only thing we're having issues with is sending the dog(trying to get him there before the rabies jab comes into play) and the other is finding a property! We are hoping to buy but it seems we can't do that till we have been there for several months. Do you qualify as a first time buyer ? Even though you have owned a property in the uk? If anyone has any advice on this, it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!!
JoandJon 868 Posted October 3, 2011 I'd like to know too!! Jo (Aussie), Jon (Pom on a 100 visa), Satch (the gorgeous viscous labrador) have now been joined by Siena Rose. Does anyone have a spare instruction manual for a baby girl?
Guest jtrd Posted October 3, 2011 Yep, I believe we do if it's the first time you've bought a house in Aust! Happy!!
JoandJon 868 Posted October 4, 2011 Woo Hoo We're planning to rent to begin with in any case, but having access to the grant might reduce that with any luck! Guest Degdog Posted October 4, 2011 Very happy:)))) have just received confirmation off a mortgage broker too!! Only downside is that we have to wait a few months from when we arrive to buy so it looks like rental to start!! But at least we can check out the suburbs first.
