Bargain cottage with water views for sale near Brisbane

Hi all,

My husband and I are hoping to sell a two bedroom cottage we bought a few years back. It's on an island called Karragarra, which is near Brisbane (just over an hour, including drive and ferry)

The cottage has two bedrooms and has been recently renovated - polished floorboards, open log fire and a large deck looking out at amazing water views.

It's also only five minutes walk from Karra's sandy beach, BBQ facilities, roped off swimming area, ferry facilities and so on.

Small and close community.

Demand is pretty slow in the 'holiday cottage' market at the moment, so we're looking at finding buyers who want a gorgeous, beach side lifestyle near Brisbane for a bargain price - maybe people looking to retire near family, etc.

Perfect for fishing, keeping a boat, kayaking or just lounging on the beach.

Asking 300,000 ONO.

Hey - sure do. Check out http://www.karradaway.com and browse the gallery section if you're interested. The house has been freshly painted since then, so the western red cedar is looking fresh and new again! Happy to email you more photos if you're interested :-)

Hi your house sounds lovely, we have friends that live on Karragarra and love it as it is so quiet, secluded and pretty. The only concern that some people may have is the price to and from the Island (around $17.00 return trip, cheaper if concession) as can be a little expensive if you work everyday, but if that's not a problem the Island is the way to go as you get much more for your money.

Do they not give you a locals discount?

Thank you! It is lovely. We're sad to part with it but with a new bub need to upgrade the family home.

No locals discount on the ferry. It's not for everyone if you're working on the mainland every day, but if you work part-time or are retired it's not too bad. Some people work on other islands in the chain too and boat between them, either privately or on the ferry.

Ferry is about 15 minutes from Karra to the terminal at Redland Bay.

The car barge is about 40 minutes.
