175/176 Visa With Engineering Skills Assessment - Can anyone recommend an Agent?

Have just started the process of moving down under. We're looking at either a 175 or 176 Visa supplemented by a skills assessment for myself by Engineers Australia.

 

The one Company we seem to have had some good advice from so far is "Migration Outcomes Australia". Can anyone give any experience or feedback of using this company or recommend any other Agents with regards to Visa Applications and Skills Assessments by Engineers Australia?

 

Am paritcularly interested in feedback from anyone who has gone down the CDR route for skills assessment as an Engineering Manager

I did it myself, it really is not difficult to send of the application for Engineers Australia. I wouldnt bother with an agent personally :wink:

Did you go for a standard assesment or down the CDR route?

I'm not sure whether i can go down the standard route which will probably assess me as a Production engineer or if i compile a CDR to get an assessment as an engineering manager. In real terms, does it make a significant difference in subsequently applying for jobs once I have the 175/176 Visa?

I went for the washington accord because my degree is accredited :wink:

I am hoping to go down the same route. Unfortunately my degree is not a "ronseal" one (i.e. it doesn't quite do what it says on the tin). The degree title is "Manufacturing Engineering Tripos" from Cambridge University which I think will qualify for Production Engineer under the Washington Accord. I haven't been able to get a steer from Engineers Australia as to whether its likely to qualify under the Washington accord or if I am more likely to get accreditation by going down a CDR route for Engineering manager - hence my original query as to whether anyone could recommend an agent.

I agree that the paperwork filling for the washington accord route does look very simple, but i'm concerned that if i apply and get knocked back that any subsequent application or appeal becomes less likely to succeed

Check on the Engineers UK website to check if your course is listed, theres a link to it from the EA site I think. If your on the list then your in. Otherwise its CDR for you
