Hi Poeribbo -

Congratulations!! By the way, how long did it take for your medicals to be entered into the system after they got to Sydney? I ask because I tracked mine and it was "delivered" according to the carrier, but my documents checklist still read "outstanding".

Thanks Sol2oz! Ours were uploaded electronically on the same day we had the medicals by the doctor (in UK). He said he would collate the evidence and start to upload it that afternoon. They were shown on the online status as 'received' 24 hours later. although i think they seem upload different parts of the medicals as they get the results - the HIV tests werent shown as received until a week later - i just assume thats because the results of the blood test dont come back instantly. I dont know if the doctor actually physically sends the paper forms to sydney?.

They show as 'further medical results finalised' on the front page and different dates below saying ' further medical results received, and 'HIV test results received' on the dates they must have been uploaded by the doctor (?). The kids were finalised first but i guess thats because they were waiting on the results of the HIV test. As soon as that was in they were 'finalised'.

On the "document check list" page everything is still showing as required! lol! so im not paying too much attention to this now as I know they have got everything! I think those are just boxes they tick off when they grant your visa??

So in other words, im not too sure what they do when they are not uploaded, I try not to guess with the DIAC their working practices are a complete mystery to me! lol! At least you know they are in the correct place?! Im sure you will hear something shortly. Hope i didnt waffle on too much there .........................................

Hey Poeribbo don't worry about the documents still showing as required. Ours still show as required now even though our visa has been granted lol!!

yeah, but I think it depends what team you're with. My boxes have been clicked as met except for medicals. So if I don't see medicals updated, I'll assume it hasn't been!

Guys got a pre grant a couple of hours ago!!... We are so happy :)

SHandGH please change our status.

Thanks guys for all the support and information. You have been tremendous :)

Oppyddrum, we are also planning to go to New Zealand.Would you be able to tell us the time required to get NZ visa? Any major issues or was it fairly simple? How long are you planning to be there for getting the grant? The pre grant letter is quite confusing.

Regards

I'm not sure to be honest. I guess DIAC must group applications into chunks and assign each chunk to a different group for processing. I think some people on here have felt that some teams appear to be further ahead than others at times. The other thing is that it's the team email address I have now rather than my CO's email, so if he/she is off on leave, hopefully someone else in the team would pick up any emails. Seems logical!

Take some advice on this. Some people "Front Load" their meds and PCC and subsequently get a direct grant. A few others (very few) get their visa denied on a technicality having paid a lot of money for their medicals unnecessarily. Ask yourself how realistic your chances of having you application approved are. If you are in any doubt then hold off. Migration Agents always recommend that you wait until instructed to provide additional information by you Case Officer. Note that ff you preload medicals and/or police certs and your visa is granted then your initial entry to Australia is one year from the date of your meds or PCC, whichever is dated first.

Date Police check submitted: Not started

Date CO assigned: Waiting

Date of employment verification (If applicable): ACS assessment completed (?)

Employment Verification is relevent only if your current employer is contacted by DIAC.

Date visa granted: Waiting

Got a CO allocated yesterday!!!!!!!!!! Meds, PCCs and additional employment evidence were requested. Working on it now. PCCs are going to take some time, since they need 30 days to issue them in Russia.

By the way, SHandGH, the user named janedee1978 who got an officer recently is already in the spreadsheet:)

Hi Sol2Oz

I can't talk to Poeribbo's experience, but I've had mine delivered in the last week.

My medicals were delivered to Sydney last Monday by the courier company, but my medicals were only marked as 'received' online last week Friday, so a 4-5 day period is what I experienced.

Hope this helps

ugh, just checked my online status and my meds are still "outstanding" even though they've been received Monday am in Sydney (according to the carrier). It's now Wednesday in Sydney, wonder if my meds will be acknowledged

Has your status changed from "received" to finalised or met yet, Patrick??

Hi Sol2oz

Have you got everything sorted now? As in pcc and meds and any other requests. We've got our medicals tomorrow but the results will be loaded electronically.

Hope you get grant soon
