Woman suing the Australian government.

Its on sky news ............. on its teletext section, so it must be correct.

A woman visiting a remote area of Australia was staying in a hotel and she was having sex with her partner, or someone ............ could have been anyone, when ................ the light fitting fell down hitting her in the face, breaking her tooth slashing open her face, where she needed stitches and she is suing the government ............. surely any claim should be against the hotel and ................

Just how frantic were they going at it to bring the ceiling lights down.

LOL

I think this is the article you are referring to ,, at the moment it looks like her claim was refused and is being appealed -

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...

If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

Did she do a complete health and safety risk assessment - and does she have the documentation, signed in triplicate? Well there you go.

I don't think she's got a hope in hell. If she'd been having sex with a cusomer maybe - or with a work associate - and they were discussing work at the same time - then maybe. I guess the ultimate question is - was she getting paid - and was it an integral part of her job?

I was at a work do cricket match once and one of the guys fell off a wall and broke his arm, (bit drunk). He was on compo for months. But that's a different thing altogether. (The company bought the beer)

If she'd been working hard and kept her head down she wouldn't have been hit in the face with the glass now would she?
