Hi there. I'm starting this thread to get a list of the 176 Applicants who are sponsored by an eligible relative. That way we can get an idea of where DIAC are up to with this cohort.

457 Issued Apr 2009

176 Application Lodged June 16 2011 (onshore)

Police Check Lodged Jun 20 2011

Medicals booked: July 28 2011

We should have been state sponsored but ended up having to go the Family sponsored 176 root. Therefore we are category 4 (18 months). We lodged on the 30-06-2011. We are hopefull things can happen alot sooner. The current rate of progress for cat 4's is about 2 months worth for every month, but this could change and is dependent upon the volume of applications for cat 1,2 & 3

Can you explain that in a bit more detail?

What month are DIAC up to at the moment ?

176 visa co,s are up to aug 2010.calculating speed since last gov update takes us to one month every two weeks so keep positive. Family in Melbourne so might be picking your brains soon.

There are no GSM visa classes in priority group 2

 

Priority Group 3

*Priority 3 applications are currently being allocated within two weeks of DIAC receiving confirmation of a valid nomination from the relevant State/ Territory Government. Applicants in priority group 3 are therefore encouraged, where possible, to provide decision ready applications to enable efficient processing and finalisation of their applications.

Thought we would jump on board :)

 

We applied in May 2011 for a family sponsored 176 - for now - we wait....

 

Be keeping an eye open for some updates on us family sponsored lot :biggrin:

Being a sado I keep e-mailing the gsm e-mail address for an update and every day is sys the same "Last updated 18-July-2011". Not very good at the waiting game!!!
