nursing in the mines, gas or oil industries

Recommended Posts

I would like to obtain a job nursing in the mines, oil or gas industries. Does anyone have any contacts and know roughly the salary a nurse could earn there? Have heard that working in these industries is very lucrative. At the moment I work as a community nurse in Perth.

Thanks :radar:

The sites I've worked at (Bowen Basin) have paramedics but not nursing staff; basically if you're sick you get sent home. Offshore work may be different, or remote areas but I've never worked there.

Hiya, know we are speaking about the other side of the world, but in Scotland there is a lot of off shore work. You need to have an off shore medics course, am guessing ALS, and competent ECG recognition. Hope this helps.
