I don't make the 65 point thresold for a 175 visa, so what other options are open to me? I know that I can gain a visa for a 4-year stay, and I am wondering what the likliehood is of being allowed permanent resident status after spending some time working in Australia? Guest Toomers Posted July 14, 2011 Share Posted July 14, 2011 If you get a sponsor on a 457 visa for 4 years they can also sponsor you for PR at the end or during this 4 year period.... I am currently sorting this for myself and and I building into my contract that "all being well" and everyone being happy with my work ect ect that will will sponsor me for PR after 2 years...
