Hey Dhawan why has he been asked so much info. Did he lodged by having 1 year experience or IELtS 7 Bands each?

Yes he did applied on 1 year experience (these documents are regarding one year experience and not 900 Hours Experience for TRA)

Important note:

N/A denotes 'Not Applicable'. There are no GSM visa subclasses within these priority groups.

** Not currently allocating.

A high volume of Priority Group 4 applications were received in June 2011. Whilst cases continue to be allocated per week, the limited movement of allocation dates reflect the high volume of applications received during this period. The affected visa subclasses are:

  • Skilled – Independent (Migrant) subclass 175
  • Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) subclass 176
  • Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) subclass 475
Allocation of Priority Group 5 applications lodged outside Australia is yet to commence.

hi LITTLE77 ! That doesn't mean anything I had this message 10 months ago and still waiting, many people have same issue, if you were in cat 4 and you got this message that means you got CO but for group 5 it doesn't mean anything u can't believe unless you get stamp on your passport and confirm with DIAC is it really a stamp of PR? :arghh:

Some encouraging news for P5-Offshore.

I just seen a direct communication from the department (unfortunately its a letter addressed to a friend, so I can't share the details) confirming that P5-offshore will commence sometime in Jun'12, starting with applications lodged in 2006.

That sure is encouraging news.

Good Luck to all who are waiting.....

Hmm, although some G5 applicants from January 2009 have been allocated, the timeline is still showing 21 of November 2008. However, it's good to know that we are still sort of ahead :)

Congrats to all those who got a CO!

That's what we were expecting it to happen. Well, in case of category 4 offshore, they are processing very fast. So I was just expecting my turn in May June 2012. Can u please send me the copy of letter on my mail.

Sekena, This sounds very hopeful indeed. Thanks for posting. I wondered when DIAC would schedule Cat 5 off-shore to commence. I imagine with the introduction of EOI (expression of interest) there will be a little gap in the actual processing - correct me if I'm wrong. Does anyone on here know what the 475 visa restrictions are with regards to validating etc. Am I correct in saying that if you have been successfully assessed by your CO you need to make an initial entry into Oz and after that you have 5 years to actually live there? I'm asking, as this is only a provisional visa, rather than a permanent one. Your help is appreciated.

I think I have just answered my own question. I believe when the 475 visa is granted you will be given an initial entry date. I read on another forum that you have 3 years after the initial entry date (which I believe you have nearly 10 month to make after visa granted?) to stay in Australia and complete the visa requirements - i.e. live in the regional area for 2 years and work 1 year full time during the 3 years. Can somebody on here please confirm that I'm correct with this? Thank you!:ssign14:

Guys,

I need some advice. I got a CO allocated on the 14th of March and have booked my medical for the 19th of March. Today, I went to get some blood tests done just to make sure everything is alright before I went for the final medical check up. Well, I've got jaundice (Hep A) which is quite common. Now, should I get the final medical checks done or wait till the jaundice is fixed in a couple of weeks?

That's a dilemma! I know that Hep B and C are more important to them. Hep A is transmitted differently and treatment seems to be rest as well as avoid eating certain foods. In that case it wouldn't or shouldn't matter that you have your medicals done now. I mean if they really tested everything in your blood, they would know of the recent Hep A infection due to antibodies that your body has produced in response to your current infection.

Hi All

Just wondering if any Community Welfare Worker from category 5 have got a CO or visa? All seems to be cooks or hairdressers.

You are right but 3 years will count from date of Grant!
