shirishcharo
http://www.immi.gov.au/media/statistics/statistical-info/visa-grants/migrant.htm Check this link guys, in the migration programme statistics for this year, there is no places for Skilled Australian sponsored, Number 7 does that mean no places for all the FS the family sponsored visa??!!!! No, as you can see they on the page, they all have superscript numbers. The planned numbers for categories previously classed as "Skilled Australian Sponsored" (superscript 7) and "State/Territory Nominated" (superscript 6) have this year been combined into "States/Territory and Regional Nominated" (superscript 8), which is mentioned in the notes below. gwheng
How many more years do they need? Frustrated.. can't take it anymore.. what will happen to those who got case officer allocated last year for FS 886? Totally agreed.
Arshad
hi guys, congratulation on those that got their PR granted, as I can see from the recent thread replied, quick few of them in class fs176 being given with PR status. any news on FS 886? No one in 176Fs is getting PR, not even a case officer! it's only 175 that is moving, though a bit slow, but at least out of hibernation. Pls update the list, thanks! Congrats halcyon66! list updated..
southafrican
Kimmo......would it be possible for you to put the date of CO and date of grant on your list? This would give us an indication of how long people are waiting for the grant, after CO has been assigned. Mine would be South African Nov 2008 (CO -Dec 2013, Grant - date) If you are keen to help, then perhaps everyone can send their detail again in the above format (or the way you choose), then you don't need to go back and search for the info? Arshad
Is anyone keeping mlsdq's spreadsheet up to date? I don't think it's been updated for the last year and a half, moreover, it's a bit outdated as many in the list have got PRs and many new ones are here. there are lists of 175 and 176FS that's been updated well. We did our medicals in RSA on 11 Dec and it was received and finalised on 13 Dec according to the online system. It is all done via e-medical, so if nothing is wrong, then it does not have to be referred...this can take another month or so

I know of a few people on the old 175 visa that did their medicals and got their visa 3 weeks later. The medicals should not take longer than a month if nothing is wrong. If the medical panel picks up an issue...something like heart problems, diabetes, autism, cancer etc. they will refer the medicals to a specialist panel for further assessment to see if you will then be a burden on the Australian medical system. This could take another month or two for them to make a decision. From what I heard is that you don;t know that your medical has been referred. Some people just waited very long and when they made an inquiry they were told that their medicals were referred for further assessment by specialists. So it did not seem that they received any notification about it, nothing you can do or re-do, as they have the final say to clear the medicals. myrosact
Finally, I am allocated to a CO on 16 Jan 2014. I lodged my 175 application on 25 Feb 2009, which has been 5 years by now. Of course, it fell in the category 5. My CO is M. O. from Team 32, GSM Brisbane. Any information about Team 32?

Guest kutsu
Hi All, My case officer has replied on friday after receiving meds and UK police checks and now requires a police check for South Africa for myself even though I have been living in the UK for 10 years, the application states that a police check is needed for every country you have lived in for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, which I have only spent about 4 or 5 months back in SA for holidays etc, does anyone have any similar experiences and would this apply from now as the case officer has just asked for it, I would understand if they required a police check when I applied for the 175 visa 5 years ago but that doesnt makes sense, I dont mind applying for the SA check but it takes a painful amount of time to be processed so was hoping to avoid another delay more than anything. Thanks in advance
Yayo
Quick question to any 886fs whom have been approved, upon allocation of your case is your family sponsor contacted? My sponsor might potentially take a job over seas in the next year or so and i am worried that it might affect the outcome of my application. Thanks

gwheng
hi Guys Just checking has anyone in this forum applies for employer sponsorship when they been waiting for many years on their initial visa application. Please let me know, as I'm seriously considering to get my boss to sponsor me and it will takes 6mth and I will get one. With 886 fs doesn't seems like getting much love from DIAC, have to think of other alternatives. Let me know if anyone has done this before, thanks.
