Taking into consideration current application rates and the overall number ofGSM places available the department expects to commence processing of somepriority group 5 applications in this program year. Once commenced, processing of priority group 5 applications will take place indate of lodgment order, after all applications of a higher priority have beenallocated for assessment. As required by the Direction, priority will continue to be given to GSMapplications in higher priority groups which will affect the overall number ofpriority group 5 applications assessed. sam2009 Posted July 12, 2011 Share Posted July 12, 2011 wait for this week maybe they are still sending off emails Hi to all of you and especially to Cat 5 group I m new to this forum but I have been reading the updates in this site on daily basis for the last 2 years, and without the ongoing hopes rised in this site I would be a very sad person by now I m a Cat 5 applicant application made On Feb 2009, 886 family sponsored I cantacted my agent today and he said he didnt recieve any email like every body here but he said there is stong indication from DIAC that at least 13000 applicant from Cat 5 will be processed this finacial year. hope this is the turning point for our miserable group Thanx to all of you and I hope I recieve my email as well soon......:notworthy: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This site has been a great help to us, i also received an email this morning informing us that we are now in cat 5 we applied in Dec 08, on 175, we also have 176 which is wa ss for in june 10. I wonder if anyone who sends a blank email gets the new update? I think there will be emails sent to applicants informing them specifically how long before they have before a case officer gets assigned especially pre Sept 2007 Onshore applicants. It will be interesting to see whether they will process the Offshore cap and ceased ones who refused to accept the refund of the VAC. Interesting times await.
