A4Ron
There are 4200 Visas allocated in the next financial year for FS cases. Can anybody give their opinions if we gonna get it in 176 and 475 sub classes? For 175 am pretty sure everyone gonna get it since there are so many skilled independent visas. What will come first do you think? Cat5 175 or Cat5 176 Family Sponsored. I reckon same time as a lot of people may be able to change their application (from 176 to 175 or vice versa) anyway. heartwinnerOCT2009
DIAC says due to no more applications in higher priority their quota will be given to 886. The remaining group 5 applications are around 17000 including all subclasses. The available Places for 885 is 44000 +886 4200= 48200 so 17000 applications will be processed before July 2013 including all subclasses. And group 5 applications till 2010 will be finalised before end of 2012 including all subclasses.please not what I have mentioned above is just for onshore applications....Sohail Khan For 2011-12 there are 4100 FS visas ending 30 June 2012. heartwinnerOCT2009
Yes that's true. One of our group mate's lawyer attended seminar of DIAC where DIAC declared they will finalised group 5 app till dec 2010 end of this year. Due to huge amount of paper work of paper applications slowing them down.according to numbers there are 44,000 places available during July 2012-2013. Now group 5 has onshore altogeather 17,000 apps left. Even they will process all 17,000 still there will be 27,000 will be empty for nobody. DIAC's policy whenever they have extra places available they balance with group who need them.Everything is available on DIAC's website where the link is commencement of group 5 you need to read them very well. Please don't worry at all. I had consulted my consultant who is a MARA agent and also a prominent MIA member and he told me that DIAC would be processing cases filed till December 2010 both onshore and offshore by end of this year. I think its just a speculation that they would be just doing onshore cases - I think its not possible. The reason for it is that onshore and offshore are handled at two different places. Even in case onshore is handled , the offshore at Adelaide wouldn't like to remain idle.
GAGAN4321
Please dont mislead the forum. Another thing I would like to highlight is that 45550 visa places are for Skilled Independent including all sub-classes and not just solely for 885. Same goes 4200 visas for Australian Sponsored and not only for 886 Edited May 12, 2012 by GAGAN4321
GAGAN4321
can u post the source, where u got this information from, thanks :wideeyed: There are 45550 visas for Skill Independent (including all sub classes) plus 4200 for FS category (all sub classes) plus 24650 for SS category that makes it 74400 in total. There are just 17000 P5 onshore and 15000 P5 offshore awaiting allocation making it approx. 32000 pending. Even if you think it is mammoth 32000 still it is just less than half of the total 74400. Also be aware out of 24650 SS, all pending SS cases for p4/p5 in all sub classes would be cleared by 31st May this year itself so only fresh SS would be there. Do you think that DIAC would be able to fill in 24650 SS cases in the next year (of course not I would say) since they were not able to fill in this year even. So the rest of the remaining quota for SS goes for other classes like FS 475/176 and 886/487 DIAC is moving fast and I really appreciate their effort and nobody likes backlog. I am sure everybody will be processed very soon. Edited May 12, 2012 by GAGAN4321

Same goes 4200 visas for Australian Sponsored and not only for 886[/quote Yes Gagan , I'm fully agree with you . For 2012-13 There are around 45350 places ( not sure about exact no. ) for skilled independent and it includes 175 an 885 and both cat 4 and cat 5. As they haven't started 175 cat 5 so most of the places will go to 175 cat 4 and 885 and also to new indepedant subclas that will come in effect after July 2012.same with familly sponsored 4200 applications , most of them wilgo to onshore cat 4 and cat 5 applicants. as we know there are 21000 cat 5 onshore application waiting for allocation , if every application has one main applicant and one sec applicant then there is backlog of 42000 cat 5 onshore, left for processing , so its not possible for DIAC to process all of them in next financial year as they can't give 42000 places to cat 5 . So I think cat 5 offshore( 175 ,176 fs)have to wait a little longer , specially those who applied in 2009 or after.

So just imagine ,,, if every offshore application has one main applicants and two dependent then 15000 applications will end up taking 45000 places as immigration counts each person not just the main apllicant. Same with 17000 p5 onshore . If every onshore application has two )applicant s on it they will end up around 34000 applicants so in real DIAC need around 80000 places to process all cat 5 , not 32000. Hope this will clear. Thanks Edited May 12, 2012 by indaussie
