Guest Lindy76
Thanks for the replys. So sorry its taken me so long to get back to you. Been heaps busy at work. Organising a camping weekend on the 16th and 17th of Sept if any of you fancy it. We'll be staying Friday till Monday but even if you can only make it for Saturday night it only takes 1.45 hours to get there. Really cool little campground....lots of fireplaces and a hut in the middle for the tunes. All welcome just bring food and drinks and your dancing shoes! Fancy dress not compulsory but it does create a great atmosphere so feel free to go as soft or as hard with it as you like!!! Let me know if you fancy it. Might organise drinks before then though as its a few weeks away. x See links below for info on National park and a map of how to get there. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=sydney&daddr=Wollombi+Rd&hl=en&sll=-33.138629%2C151.172304&sspn=0.045566%2C0.088577&geocode=FZsz-_0dszwDCSnFAZBWlpcSazFgqDIWaH0BBA%3BFTBEBv4d03oBCQ&mra=ls&t=h&z=9 http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/nationalparks/parkCamping.aspx?id=N0068

I don't think Wollongong is too far from me, perhaps we could meet inbetween? one night in the week, or Sunday lunch with some cocktails ;-) Or if you and your hubby are about on Saturday night, we're meeting some newbies (us included) at the Rocks! 3FatCats
Hi Lindy and all, we just got to Sydney last Monday and would love to make some friends sharing similar experiences. We are in our late 30's - 40's and don't have any children, we like socialising and are both divers if anyone else is?? We moved from Warrington but were in Italy before that. Would love to hear of any other meet-ups! Thanks

Are you still doing the camping thing? I think my partner is taking me out for dinner this weekend and I still have to get acclimatised - yep only been here about 12 hours!! I'm near Chatswood, where are you?
Guest Lizzie1986
So after much deliberation I am finally getting round to posting this ad and admitting my lack of friends here in Sydney : ( I'm originally from Lancashire and have been in Australia living the dream for 5 years. I've just spent 2 months back at home with all my friends and it really has made me realise I do need to make some GOOD friends here as this is now where my life is. I'm a really laid back person so I love the saying "no dramas!" I have a pretty dry sense of humour and I like a good laugh. I love music, going to gigs (Gomez and Kaiser Chiefs coming up soon!), festivals, photographs, sunshine, animals, laughing, the beach, bargain hunting, drinking (I'm more of a pint of cider girl than a cocktail chic!), eating, talking, dancing (usually during drinking!) and pretty much anything that involves having a good time. I also Love camping and head off to the bush whenever I get the chance. I love looking for wildlife and am at my happiest when sitting by a fire, under the stars sipping on a cheeky bourbon...or 10! Love waking up to the sound of the birds the next day and cooking up a feast before a lovely walk through the one of the amazing National parks NSW has to offer looking for wildlife. I do have a gorgeous boyfriend who I've been with for 3 years and we do heaps of fun things together but friends are really what I'm missing so if you're like minded and looking for new friends too please give me a shout. x Hi :cute: I know you posted this a couple of months ago, but I only joined today and really want to meet new people and make exactly what you said "good" friends... I (25) live in Coogee and moved to Oz 2yrs ago with my boyfriend Ben (26), he is currently working in Melbourne but will arrive back early October, but in the meantime I should be meeting new people . We love outdoor activites and always keen to try something new. We have just bought lots of new camping gear too. I also like girly days and love to do lunch and shopping, but I am definitely able to party with the best of them! My email is ejp1986@gmail.com if your free sometime or arrange a new gathering it would be great to be involved and meet you and others. Cheers, Liz&Ben
Guest Lindy76
Hey Liz, Thanks for your reply. My other half is also called Ben and I also live in Cooge! I've met some great girls the last few weeks off here that are all local too so it's perfect for summer. It's forecast 27degs on Sat and we're having a camping party if you're interested and have transport (we have no space in the cars left sorry) you would be more than welcome to come. It takes 1 3/4 hours to get there from Sydney and it's a really cool little camp site. Linda:biggrin:

Hope you have a fab time, absolutely gutted I can't come, but definitely next time! If it's easy to email: ejp1986@gmail.com. Cheers

Guest emmag
Hi Lindy Just come across your post although I realise it's a few weeks old now! I've recently moved to Randwick (about 6 weeks ago) and am keen to meet some new friends! It'd be great if you could let me know if you are planning another meet up around here anytime soon. I'm 29 and originally from Northamptonshire. I love music, gigs and festivals (9th Glastonbury this year!) and getting out and about and exploring and generally having fun. I love the beach too and can't wait until summer, it'd be great to meet some new people to get together with over the summer months too. Guest Keocat
Hi - I'm a newby to Sydney with two children Charlotte (5) and Thomas (3). This is my first time of being a stay at home mum and it is a shock to the system. I'm craving some daytime adult company and the children wouldnt mind a friend or two. So if anyone in the same situation fancies a coffee or even a glass of wine (I'm not adverse) I'd be happy to meet up. Picking up a car today so will be more flexible - I am based in Balmain, Sydney.
