Guest WannaGoToOZ Posted June 17, 2011 I think it depends on whether you coming from a low risk or a high risk country. The stated turn around time for low risk countries is five months, ten for high risk. I applied for a partner visa, which has the same processing time frame, and received my grant letter in four months. I am from a low risk country, but mine required some special processing. Check out this link. http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/5.0.htm
Guest TaniaandRob Posted June 18, 2011 If they gave you an estimated time - that will be the exact time.... Usually 4-6 months from a low risk country...

wajiha 10 Posted August 30, 2014 HI Everyone Can I please ask a quick question? I applied for a partner visa a few years back the immigration refused this after 2 YEAR! the Immigration stated that the visa was refused because the wedding wasn't recognized according to Australian Law ! that was really disappointing and I was really stressed out and depressed because that time I was in Pakistan on holidays and was thinking about coming back to Australia with my partner anyways now I have applied for the prospective marriage visa 300 and have set the marriage date for our marriage on 16/11/2014 so that it is according to the AUSTRAIAN LAW I just hope he gets he's visa granted ASAP, am just scared they might refuse it again. and we want to be together ASAP.... also I called the immigration the other day and they said it will take 12-14 months! its tooooo long I have already waited 2 years! I was thinking of applying for a visit visa until the other one is under process. would you think that's an good idea? can you please any suggestions ?
