Guest aiden
The "Red Lights District" of Sydney is called "King Street", it will treat you with every kind of perversion, dont worry.

I think you mean Kings Cross, King Street is in Newtown.
Guest aiden
I think you mean Kings Cross, King Street is in Newtown. King street in Newtown is good for wining and dining and just having a nice evening out. Kings Cross is good for disco-disco-partizane. csdub
Darling Harbour has some great restaurants. My favourite 2 are Hurricanes- amazing steak and the Nicks- delicious seafood!! http://hurricanesgrill.com.au/about-hurricanes/hurricanes-darling-harbour http://www.nicks-seafood.com.au/nicksbarandgrill/ Both of those restaurants are at Bondi Beach too but the views from Hurricanes in the city is really nice at night time. Bungalow 8 is really nice for pub food and or drinks, that's at the end of King St Wharf http://www.bungalow8sydney.com/ You'll have a great time anyway!
Joebloggs
King street in Newtown is good for wining and dining and just having a nice evening out. Kings Cross is good for disco-disco-partizane. King Street in Newtown has a few good Thai restaurants , a few dingy pubs, a couple of good pubs and that's about it... tends to look busy because its full of students as the Uni is there. I would recommend Norton Street, Glebe Point Road, The Rocks, King Street Wharf and especially Darling street in Balmain well before King Street. Kings cross is the seedier bit of town, strip clubs, brothels etc but has late opening night clubs so good for drinking especially after the city closing hours.... same for Oxford street. A top class restaurant is Cafe Sydney, bit expensive but if you get a nice table by the balcony the view is fantastic. http://www.cafesydney.com/
Quoll
I second the Cafe Sydney - had dinner there last weekend and it was excellent. The cocktail lounge at the Hilton also offered some interesting options Also try and get in to see Jersey Boys - fabulous show and the cast were great (better than the London cast according to a friend who has seen both shows)
