helenandstuwilk
Has anyone had experience of renting furnished accommodation around the North Lakes area that you would be happy to recommend? It will be for a family of 4. If all goes to plan with our 457 visa we'll be in oz at the end August this year but our furniture won't arrive until about 6 weeks later. Struggling to find anything on the net! Thank you all!
Guest Stacey Lynch
Hi! there's another masterplanned estate about 15 minutes closer in to Brisbane called Warner Lakes, in Warner. They sometimes have places advertised. Try Gumtree for ads  Has anyone had experience of renting furnished accommodation around the North Lakes area that you would be happy to recommend? Guest clarky42
Hey! Did you manage to find a furnished let? We arrive in Brisbane this Thursday & right now have decided our only option is to rent an unfurnished house & then rent furniture as they only furnished let we can find is a holiday let that's very expensive! Alaska
I think most people tend to rent some furniture until stuff arrived. We bought a few bits, borrowed a few things and rented a washing machine.

Hi we have been here a year now. We ended up in North Lakes. Viewed about 20 properties when we got here and just stayed with friends from the Thurs till the Mon when we moved in. We're looking again now as moving to Narangba as we're really not happy with the school my Son attends! Got to find somewhere in school catchment area which is proving difficult! Do you have kids? if you have young ones and you can attend a playgroup you'll prob find you'll meet people that are willing to lend you furniture till yours gets here. We were lucky that way. Good luck with your move - where you coming from? Helen:biggrin:
