:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:HI THERE GUYS , IM NEW TO THIS SITE TODAY, THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND WOULD BE GRATEFULL OF ANY ADVICE. THINGS HERE IN THE UK SEEM TO BE GETTING WORSE OF LATE , ME AND THE OTHER HALF ARE REALLY THINKING HARD ABOUT COMING TO OZ. IM A FULLY QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN, 32 YEARS OLD WITH 16 YEARS EXPERIENCE, AND WAS HOPING IF ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE TRADE COULD GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT CHANCE I HAVE OF GETTING A JOB OUT THERE . IM REALLY ONLY USED TO DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS , IVE COVERED EVERYTHING IN THAT AREA AND WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS MUCH DEMAND FOR DOMESTIC ELECTRICIANS IN OZ OF LATE. ALSO HAS ANYONE HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH TRADIES DOWN UNDER , AS THEY OFFER FULL TRAINING IN THE UK BEFORE YOU GO. £3000 FOR THE COURSE.

ALSO WHAT WOULD THE MONEY BE LIKE IN OZ AS A DOMESTIC SPARK.

ID LIKE TO HERE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE THE MOVE OUT THERE AND GET AN IDEA OF WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE PROCESS. DOWN UNDER TRADIES RECKON THEY CAN GET ME THERE IN 6 MONTHS IF I GO AHEAD WITH IT. I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THE MOVE BUT NEED MORE INFO FIRST, AND MAYBEE A VISIT FOR A FEW WEEKS TO SEE WHAT THE CRACK IS . I WOULD BE GRATEFULL OF ANY RESPONSE.

THANKS GUYS , HAVE A GREAT DAY!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Hi Brett,

Welcome to Poms In Oz.

:laugh:My husband has problems typing in lower case, but may I ask you to try, becauase capitals is considered as shouting:laugh:on a forum! xx

If you use your search button and type in Electricians or Sparkies there is an abundance of advice for Australian Electrician's requirements.

I do hope you enjoy our forum.

Best wishes

Stay well away from tradies Down Under mate, they are frigging useless, they CANNOT provide you with any training thats accepted in Australia. ALL training for the electrical license MUST be done in Australia anything out of Aussie is NOT even considered its as simple as that Down Under Tradies are NOT a RTO end of story so keep your money in the bank & do all training when your here.
