Hi Everyone

Would like to join this group.

Good luck everyone.

Based on the latest info we are cat 4. (176 Family occupation Nurse on the current SOL)

The process time states 18-24 months.

Does anybody have an idea on how long this actually could take in reality?

Hello everyone,

We are new to all of this but wanted to join as 176 family sponsored visa submitted 28th June. It seems to have taken ages to get everything together so it's a relief to know it's in. Ready for a long wait now.

We applied in feb 2011 and also received the march 18th mail so have sent our medicals and police checks. On the Gsm processing email it says they are up to june 2010 applicants and they seem to do 2 months applicants every fortnight. Moving quite quickly now i think!!

There are other 176ers who are getting CO's that are sept 2010 applicants. I think it depends on which team of CO's u get. Team 2 are the furthest!

Hope this helps :)

I am also 176 family sponsered  going Mad..

details :

application logged - 176 family sponsd Jul '09 . non CSL.

re-assesment done in Jun'11 - 261313 now in SOL :-)

submitted results.. waiting from then.. waiting waitng waiting............ for CO

Hi everyone,

For starters, best of luck in your visa journey:smile:. Also, congrats to everyone who got

their visas.

I applied on August 23, 2010, occupation Accountant (general). Every document uploaded, police checks uploaded on January 26, 2011, medicals finalised on March 01, 2011.

After asking DIAC about the status of my application on July 01, got the reply that my enquiry has been referred to my case officer for their attention. So hopefully, I won't wait for long to get my visa.

Cheers,

Zoran

We were orginally suposed to be on a state sponsored 176, but due to our agent not progressing our application with ANMAC i.e did not realise that they had paper work missing for some time!!! therefore not enough time to get the statesponsorhip, luckily we have family in Perth. Lodged on the 30 June just in time before the rule changes. We are category 4 and have been advised 18-24months. Does anybody know if this potentially could be sooner? and we were also told by our agent we maybe able change our application from Family to State?

Wow, so from your visa submission to final approval it only took 6 months!! Is that because you were in Cat 3 at the time. Now that we are Cat 4 this is likely to take alot longer?

Hi friends,

Where are every one ? does any one want to share gloden words of " CO allocated"? :-)

I have couple of questions here : for 176 family sponsered.

1) Can we proceed with our medicals and PCC without being asked for. I mean can i get it done now and keep that ready?

2) Any one here who applied in/after Jun 2011 got CO allocated ? I did my reassesment and submitted results on 20 Jun 2011 . so just curious if our applications are moving ahead ?

We were wondering the same-we are still waiting on our CO and getting very jiggy as some people who submitted 176 after us have been assigned a CO already:jiggy:!!

Can we proceed with PCC & Medicals before CO asks us to - would love to be organised but not sure if we require anything from DIAC to proceed ..... x

Hi

here is our time-line:-

176 family sponsored visa applied April 2010, OH occupation -floor finisher (cat 5).....waiting

we would like to track the status of our application direct with DIAC, is this possible or does it have to be our agent who checks as we used an agent to submit our app?

I know cat 5ers are in for a long wait but what are we roughly looking at, not knowing how long it is going to take is driving us mad!!!

Any advice would be gratefully received. :-)

if you get TRN from your agent you could track your application.
