Bobbsy
Yeah...Soniq are definitely multiregion. However, I've also had a Sony DVD and Toshiba Bluray and they came region free out of the box as well. In fact, I'm watching a UK DVD on the Toshiba Bluray as I type this.... Edited to Add: +1 for the Whirlpool site. I've used it for everything from information on home entertainment stuff to queries about phone and broadband stuff. There is a lot of very good info there. RockDr
Quick question: If I buy a Blu-Ray player here, is it region-locked when playing DVD's? I'm not worried about when it plays Blu-Ray discs (they'll be bought here), but I've got a load of UK DVD's I'd like to play. Will an Oz Blu-Ray player be locked to Oz region DVD's? If so, can they be unlocked? Alternatively, I'm planning on buying an Oz Xbox 360 anyway. Will the DVD player on that be region-locked? Thanks for any help! My OZ X-box 360 plays both UK and Australian DVDs no problem.
Bobbsy
My OZ X-box 360 plays both UK and Australian DVDs no problem. Same deal with the ACCC calling regional coding anti-competitive. It doesn't work in reverse though...UK X-boxes are regional coded and would need unlocking down here.
