Guest debanddavis Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Hi Guys, We are trying to decide on who to get our Health Insurance with for the Visa application... does anyone have any advice on insurance companies? what type of insurance for the visa? (can we just get the cheapest one now and then upgrade later) we are both under 30 wth no medical conditions.... just wondered if anyone could recommend a few companies to look at and any advice when doing so! Ay help would be gratefully received... thanks very much... :confused:

newjez Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I've been with HBF and Medibank private - and I didn't notice any difference. I'd just go with who has the best deal at the time. As for what level - sorry I can't answer. I used to have the basic level because - if you wear glasses - it's pretty much a no brainer.
Guest debanddavis Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Thanks Guys.... my real confusion is that i have NO idea what i am supposed to have!! the main issue is that i need to have my insurance sorted for the Visa...but i have no aus bank account yet, so how are you suppose to pay for it? or can you freeze the payments to start when you arrive? it seems a little unreasonable for me to have to start paying $200 a fortnights or whatever it is...and im not going to be in the country for 3 months? is this right? and i am just being naive? NOTHING straight forward is it???
