Hi all

I know it is all a question of personal taste and, we need to do our own research. Which I will. Would really appreciate some pointers as to opinions on suburbs to live in Perth.

Ideally we would like to be within half hour commute to the city as we both need to find work. Hubbie is a carpenter. Not sure if carpentry is more sought after in particular areas?? confused.gif

We also have two kids 4 and 5, so would like somewhere with a good primary school.

Any tips or advice or good places to find info for my research would be greatly appreciated!

We are booked into a holiday home in Duncraig for 6 weeks, so need to crack on finding a long term rental as soon as we land! blink.gif

Thanks all thumbsup.gif

Hi there

Neither of us have a job to go to so were looking at both. If hubbie gets a job before we find an area then obviously that will play a big factor, but researching all possibilities at moment :

Hi and welcome to PIO

Have a look on realestate.com.au they have some great places to buy and rent North and South of the river, best of luck and Perth is fantastic.

You will have so many suburbs to choose from within an hour of Perth CBD - are you looking for older or newer property, beach, hills etc., I think most of us would be able to say that our own suburb had good amenities, primary schools etc - which probably won't help you chose the suburb you want to live in
