Hi, The agent lodged my ENS Sub 856 application with decision ready checklists about 1 and half months ago. Does anybody tell me how long the whole processing time for PR approval will be in normal situation? Many thanks in advance.

Hi mate. Not many details you give us here :)

Depends on whether its been sent to Parramatta or somewhere else.

Depends on whether your agent REALLY lodged it decision ready or not ( many people say the agent did but still waiting for months)

Depends on whether you are from a high risk country or a low risk country.

Depends on whether the nomination has been lodged before or together with the application.

Depends on so many things mate...

Thanks a lot Fabian.It was sent to Sydney CBD, it is decistion ready for sure (becauese the agent has collected all my materials and said it was for decision ready all the time), not a risk country. I just want to know the rough timeframe. The agent said the whole processing time is about 5-8 months, but it is much shorter for decision ready shceme. How short is it? Thanks a lot.

If the application is indeed decision ready - possibly only two weeks from submission to grant.

Decision ready apps don't take months to be assessed. At least they haven't recently.

Best regards.

Hi Alan,

unfortunately thats not quite true with the 2 weeks anymore :( (at least in my case at Parramatta)

My CO contacted my agent to tell that next week we will hear from her regarding my application. We lodged it on the 21.04. That would mean its 4 weeks then. On the other hand there was the easter break in between so probably one week I have to give extra anyway.

Still quick though..not complaining about it.

@workeroverseas

Just because the agent collected all the material doesnt mean it has been lodged certified decision ready. I have a friend here in Canberra and the same crap happened to him. Agent told him he lodged it decision ready but obviously he didnt because no CO has been assigened yet and in the acknowledgement letter it said it will take about 5-7 months. In my acknowledgement letter it was outlined that certified decision ready applications will be assessed within 3 weeks. Pain in the a**

OK - recent timeline for ENS DRC lodged application in Parramatta:

* Lodged 28/03/2011

* Granted 20/04/2011

So 4 weeks would seem to be a reasonable expectation in that office.

Best regards.

Cheers mate.

The CO contacted us last week and told us we will hear this week. I guess because of the 3 public holidays during Eastern 4 weeks is still pretty awesome :)

Thanks for following up Alan!

Hi Allan,

Iam wondering if you could throw light on ENS processing for DRC in Parramatta office as I mine was lodeged on 22/06 got to know DRC accepted on 12 July but till now no news of Case officer. Is it true that Parramatta office is processign application submitted by March end now.

Appreciate the info.

Cheers

Krish

Hi guys,

my visa (856) was lodged 7th this month (DRC), confirmed received by diac, payment processed. My nomination was approved 2 months ago. Apparently there is some delay in processing DRC visas as well. However no information on how long the delay is, lodged at Parramatta. Does anyone have some information??

Well I asked the agent who was quite arrogant on the phone, if not rude..., response was very evasive, not convincing: there are delays, wait another month... there is a massive backlog which is affecting all visa including DRCs... Fact is, I do not trust them any more... something is not right. Should I contact DIAC directly and bypass my agent?

Cheers for that info, if you don't get a co after 18 days from acknowledgement would you contact dial or just suffer the waiting game

Yes I do, I will not be recommending this agent to friends . This agent told me my skills assessment would take 3 weeks when it actually takes up to 12!!so Id like to make a call myself on when's appropriate to call diac, any suggestion??

Hi there,

Does anyone know the current processing times for DRC ENS 121 applications in Parramatta. Mine was submitted two weeks ago by my migration agent, with a covering letter noting that I am leaving the country on the 14th March due to my current visa restrictions. So hoping against hope it will be processed in time for me to return on my PR!

If anyone has any current updates on timelines it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
