Mechanic looking for work in brisbane

Hi every one new to this site but I have got my skilled visa in waiting for response. Me and my family want to live in the Brisbane area but I would like to try and get a job or at least some contacts before we move. I am a light vehicle mechanic also work on new diesels and done some body work got all certs and done vetessas. If any one could give me some advice I would love to hear from you.

Hi try ringing some garages around the Rocklea area,, things are a tad quiet on the mechanic front at the moment but lots of garages are based around there and most always seem to need good mechanics.

 

A good website for jobs is seek.com,but try to ring companys rather than e-mail,, also bear in mind lots of smaller garages adverise in smaller local papers rather than the big websites, so maybe getting the White Pages up on line and ringing as many garages as you can to put feelers out could work for you.

Don't be dissapointed if you don't get a great response as most employers/ companys won't really entertain you until your actually here.
