Guest graymond Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hi, I was just reading a forum post which says EVL have gone into liquidation. I had seen them at the end of March and they picked up my boxes to move from UK to Oz. I am now in Oz and today got a bounced email from them. I am now worried about my goods, does anyone have any advice for me. I have emailed bar.co.uk but is there anything else I can do? Greg

Guest graymond Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hey siamsusie, that's the forum post I had read, was concerned it was closed. I must have just just got in with EVL before they closed their doors, I must admit they were really helpful but this explains why I hadn't heard anything from them.
Guest siamsusie Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Reading through Moving to Melbourne's post, she has given some contact addresses, so fingers crossed for you. Susie x
Guest Sarah Brown Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Hi Gary, my husband and I are in the same boat - EVL picked up our boxes in mid February from Edinburgh and I only now found out about the liquidation. Apart from contacting BAR I am not aware of anything else we can do. If anyone hears more can they please keep the thread informed? Has anyone else been through this process with another removals company that has gone into liquidation in the past? Thanks Sarah
Guest oneil Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Dear All, Saw your threads by chance. I'm a mover in Italy. We just recieved the below from the IAMovers association. EVL went into liquidation 26 Jan. Here is who you have to contact as soon as possible. (They say 16 February, but I can't belive UK law is that nasty). See the email address of the property manager below! Good luck. Best, M. O'Neil Forwarding Srl. Rome Italy. "IAM has been notified that European Van Lines (International) Ltd., based in Colnbrook, England, has gone into liquidation and is no longer operating. According to the property manager in charge of administering the property, some abandoned freight / goods were left at European Van Lines' premises after it ceased to operate. The property manager has expressed that the abandoned freight / goods will be disposed of unless arrangements are made to collect the freight/goods no later than February 16th, 2012. IAM suggests members get in touch with the Administrator if you believe you have had shipments in storage or transiting through European Van Lines' facilities within the past nine months. The property manager's contact information is as follows: Eddisons Ms. Jill Rendell Alhambra House 27-31 Charing Cross Road London WC2H 0AU Phone: 0870 703 7000 Fax: 0870 703 6999 Email: property@eddisons.com www.eddisons.com
