markdhoey Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Hi there, I'm coming over to Perth for a holiday, well its really a reccie trip as hopefully moving there in 2013, and was hoping someone could recommend anywhere relatively cheap to stay. So far the only accommodation I can find is quite expensive for a 10 night stay. I've been looking at freemantle and scarborough but would stay anywhere that we can get to see the best parts pf Perth during our stay. Can't wait for the trip, even more so till the big move in 2013. Thanks
Guest sooperlids Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Might depend on your definition of cheap! We re staying in a 3 bed house for $700pw on our trip next week. Was cheaper than a Hotel. And more convenient for us.
markdhoey Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks. What company was that through? I'll have a look for any 1 bedroom apartments/houses.
Wezzza Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Hi, my parents stayed at a place in attadale which is just south of the river, really nice area. But it depends what your looking for as this place is a 1 bed unit in the back of the owners garden but she is brilliant. Anyway give it a look on http://www.shorttermaccommodation.com.au/
markdhoey Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks. I'll have a look at both of them. Regards Mark

Thanks My friends booked with www.elitevillas.com.au, they are offering houses at the mo from $550.00 per week, dont know if there is a minimum length of stay but would be worth having a look HTH
Harpersgirl Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 It might also be worth looking at www.gumtree.com.au at both rental and short term lets. Sometimes people are looking for housesitters and won't charge in return for someone looking after their animals and plants. You'll need to have some good references tho...!!!!! www.holidaylettings.co.uk and www.stayz.com are both also good places to track something down.
markdhoey Posted May 28, 2011 Author Posted May 28, 2011 Thanks everyone. No doubt i'll be on here much more when things start to progress with visa's and the move gets closer.
