Guest Dfraser Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I am waiting for confirmation of my 457 visa. Can someone tell me if it's ok for me to go to Melbourne when it is granted and for my husband and daughter to follow when our house is sold?
Guest siamsusie Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Hi there, bumping this for you and hope you receive some positive answers. Susie x
Guest tandcmum Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I have heard of two families on other forums doing that with a 457 visa and didn't seem to be a problem, no idea what is involved or how you go about it though, sorry
sami Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Yes you can come at different times, the employer might want your husband to start on a specific date, but you can follow at a later stage, as long as it´s within the required period of time which is stamped in the passport.
Guest Ukmover Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I asked a migration agent this exact same question and was told it was ok. For really good info and advice contact Sherie at http://www.migratemates.com/index.php?page=about-us
Guest MissBehaving Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 A friend of ours has just gone out on a 457 visa (Queensland) and his wife is following at the end of July because of work commitments. The company he is working for wanted him asap. We are also going seperatly. OH is going about 2 weeks before us to sort out his workie stuff and we will follow later to sort out homes, cars etc.... Nobody has told us that we have to travel together.
