Guest Guest 47403 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Does perth have decent cycle paths? Depending where you live is cyclying into the CBD a safe option. Cheers Baz
newjez Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Unbelievable - really - you will not believe it. It is very cycling friendly. I used to ride from Maylands to Perth, along the river, and I never went near a road. The paths go right around the river. You can ride for miles. You do have to watch for other cyclists though. Bike on bike crashes can be quite bad. They have bike paths along the trains lines too. It is fantastic. Not sure about mountain biking - but I believe there are some trails for this too.
Guest Guest 47403 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Good to hear. Another question I'm guessing they will but do train station have areas to store bikes during the day?

Guest Guest 47403 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Blimey just found part of the government transport website dedicated to cycling you can pretty much get from Singleton in the south to the CBD without touching a road!
