And will I have to apply for the visa before 1st July 2011 after I get my state sponsorship? ACS applied – Nov 2010 got the positive results on Feb 2011 NT sponsorship applied May 2011 – RESULTS PENDING Regards swjana
Guest dobclai Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Hi Swjana, I applied for SS 176 11 weeks ago (roughly) and I was told by my agent then that the decision may take up to 30 week!! So the waiting continues!! Regards Claire
jimithechew Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 30+ weeks for SS, what a joke, Darwin has a pop of 125,000, how can the state afford to take so long, its not like its full!!! WA takes a matter of weeks, anyway why move to NT.... your only going to go 'Troppo'!!!!!
Guest Irmaal Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Hi Swjana, I also applied for NT SS roughly 60 weeks ago and finaly last friday I got the email saying that I was approved. I do not know the reasons why it took so long. Moreover, when I carefully read the letter from an agent, I found that I was approved for State Regional Sponsorship-which I haven't applied for. So after 60 weeks of waiting it's another bad surprise
Guest Fabian Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 *sarcasm on* Lol I guess in the NT there are only 3 people employed to do the job. And these people are probably part time and NT style relaxed as. Leaving the office at 12noon. Going for lunch and coming back at 4 pm to lock the office *sarcasm off* Wonder why it takes that long..I thought NT is very keen in getting migrants up there ?

I turned down a job interview for Alice Spring, i'm beginning to think I should have went for it!! Thanks - Claire
swjana Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 Hi Swjana, I also applied for NT SS roughly 60 weeks ago and finaly last friday I got the email saying that I was approved. Guest Irmaal Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 It's simple. When you are applying for State Sponsorship, there is one sentence: " If your current application is unsuccessfull would you like to apply for Regional Sponsorship?" I just ticked "YES", but had no idea that it is processed automaticly and there is no need to apply with new application. I had no any notifications about my main application beeing unsuccessfull and that they are processing me for Regional Spionsorship. Maybe that is why it took them 60 weeks to proccess. I ofcourse will let this Sponsorship expire, because it is valid only for 475 visa, which is provisional, valid only for three years. I already have one provisional visa and do not need another one. All at all it is very frustrating having waiting for so long and in the end to be sponsored for a visa which I do not need at the moment as plans has changed during that period. :realmad:
