Guest alana2107 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I am currently getting my daughters aussie passport (by descent) with me having dual citizenship from when I lived there as a child and am wondering what process my partner will have to go through in order to be able to move. We arent married (been together 11 years though) and have one child together. Will he need some form of visa or will he automatically be entitled to permanent residency, any advice would be much appreciated!
Guest Guest 47403 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Look on the Diac website but I think a spouse visa will be what you need to apply for, plenty of people in the know on here that will be able to give you a definate answer.

From what you have posted it appears that you might have an issue with the 'residence' requirement. I suggest you run your case past ta registered migration agent.
