G'day mate, A beautiful town perched on top of The Great Divide; chilly to cool in winter, cool to icon14.gif in summer.

About 125-130 thousand population, good shopping in the city centre. Excellent sporting facilities, brilliant gardens, parks etc.

Plenty of excellent schools, including a few boarding schools.

Love the town, but too cold for this old black duck.

hi mate, we are a family of 4 and hope to emigrate to Brisbane in September and were in Redcliffe near Brisbane in October 2009 for a research trip and visited my uncle and his family in Toowoomba for a couple of days. Toowoomba is a beautiful picturesque postcard place and a great place to bring up a family, but my uncle's kids are now teenagers and they said there wasn't much for them to do so they have all gone to university in Brisbane and are having a great time. we thought if we moved to Towwoomba when the kids left school they might want to head for the city or the Gold coast and we didn't want to be that far away from them. Didn't want to put you off i'm sure you'll love the place my uncle does mind you he is 65.

best of luck Barry,,
