3 year teaching degree not enough...what are my options?

Hey,

I'm new to this so i hope i'm doing the right thing!

I am going over to Oz (TAZ) in august on a working holiday visa and then applying for a defacto visa when i get there.

I am currently an NQT just finishing that year so come July i wil be fully qualified over here. A 3 year BA(hons) Primary teaching.

 

I think i have come to terms with the fact that this won't be accepted over in OZ unless i undertake a further year of study.

 

What are my chances of getting a job in a Nursary, Pre school or as a teaching assistant ? Or any other setting that involves children with the qualification i have. My degree is in Primary but my class i teach at the moment are mixed reception/year 1 and i have worked in a pre school before.

 

As far as the one year more of study goes what are my options? I really want to specialise in Autism so is there a course i could complete part time whilst working where i could do this to then give me that year that i require?

 

Please help as i just want to know what my options are!!
