What is involved exactly with a skills assessment for a mechanical engineer for either a 121 or 856 visa? Does anyone know please? What is required?

In a nutshell the CDR assessment comprises of the collection of your current qualifications, professional memberships (certified copies for the two previous), updated CV, recent CPD and then the main event; this is the bulk of the assessment where three career episodes are required complete with a summary statement.

It took me about 6 weeks to do the assessment and the current turn-around is 16 weeks!

You could even phone them for a quick chat, I found them helpful.
