Dubai Airport

Hi,

 

We are due to fly out to Perth on 18th May with Emirates - Glasgow to Dubai. We have a 5hr wait in Dubai and was thinking of booking into a lounge to have shower etc but states on website that showers/lounge in terminal 1 and not suitable if you are flying from terminal 3. Can anyone advise or know if there are showers in terminal 3?

i would love this question answered too as we are flying emirates on 31st to dubai then on to perth.. have 2 hour wait in terminal 3 and would love a shower before next leg.

soznot sure of the specifics of each terminal as we had a 10hr stopover so had a hotel, but dubai airport is absolutely gigantic, massive airport and when we were departing we were originally flying from gate 3 to have it changed to gate 48 with 15 min to go!! it was a looong walk so dont be surprised if they changed your terminal as it happened to a number of flights!

So Loubeany you are only a couple of weeks after us! Hows are things going at your end?

I know a shower would just be great and also passes the time.

Will bear that in mind and will wear the flat shoes incase of any long walks! When are you heading off?

Dubai's a great airport even without a lounge, spent 6hrs in transit last April, replacement flights just after the volcano. But Terminal 3 has WAY too few toilets!!

 

Fairly sure you can walk between the terminals as well, and think there's an Alhabra lounge in Term 3 as well as 1.

 

it's a tough call whether I prefer Changi or Dubai the best.... although I'm always best pleased when I finally make it to Melbourne

Hi Claire - yep all going well and am not to stressed !! honest - god would love a shower before getting back on board another flight thats for sure. Aparently there are showers as you go down the walkway from security u have to look for signs someone said. Not sure if you have to pay but the public ones you will need small travel towel for. I think for around £7 each you can use the spa/ helathclub facilities.

Will keep my eyes peeled for the showers! Its all going at qt a speed for us, not stopped for last few weeks. Moved out of our house yesterday and thought I would be bit teary but absolutely fine think Im definately ready to move on. I'm surprisingly calm, now that our stuff is away for shipping and moved out. The excitement is starting 12 more sleeps :biggrin:

hello, the showers in terminal 3 at Dubai are located the floor above the business lounge. Not sure how much it costs in pounds - but it is definitely worth it! Everything provided - towels, toothbrush, toothpaste etc etc

Hey All

 

We flew through Dubai Terminal 3 in January and used the showers at the health club. We paid by credit card can't remember how much though. They provided all the stuff you need shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, slippers and bath robes. There's a hair dryer too. We only had a 3 hr stop but if you are stopping longer you mignt ge able to use the other facilities there too.

 

It wasn't very well signposted for the health club but just ask. The public showers are free but rather busy and the water is cool and you have to suppliy all your own stuff!!!
