rockola57 883 Posted May 1, 2011 What a shock i have just had.The eminent Military Historian Richard Holmes has passed away.How sad to see such a great man die at the relatively young age of 65.He brought a reality to events that IMO no other could match.His knowledge of the great Battles through the Centuries was phenomenal.Both his TV documentaries and Books on WW1 and WW2 have left me spellbound by his genius.The War Walks series were unbelievable,it was as if you were there!A great man .R.I.P.
